What do Game Heads Do?
We offer mobile gaming parties for children from ages 7+, we drive to the client’s home and offer video/VR gaming events in one of our purpose-built mobile gaming vans for up to 12 players for 90 or 120 min events.
What Positions are available?
We are looking for a host to join our team with immediate start
The Saturday & Sunday Host will work both days on a weekend on weekend off rota between 09:30-20:30 (around 12-24 hours a week ). If you want any extra shifts Monday to Fridays this can be arranged but not a requirement . This is a zero hours role

What we must get from you:
Driving : Have experience of and be very, very, very competent in driving extra-long wheelbase vans. (7.5 meters) Our vans have cameras and reversing sensors but we are sometimes expected to get into spaces not much bigger then the van which can be a challenge. You need to hold experience with this , you wont be able to wing it :)
You must hold a full clean UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years and be aged 25 or over (due to insurance requirements) and be able to prove experience in driving such vehicles.
DBS: Will need to be DBS checked as working with children.

Time Management: You need to be obsessed with time management and must be 100% reliable – nearly every event is a child’s birthday party, not turning up or being late is a massive no-go. Since our first event in the snow in early 2019 we have never let anyone down.

Fun: You need to be approachable, fun and have a pleasant happy manner and energy. Clients warm to staff who take this approach, and their kids will be happy to ask you for help.

Right To Work: You must have the right to work in the UK.
What we need to see:
Confidence :You will be dealing with children/teens and being able to converse clearly and concisely with a good ability to articulate with parents as well is a positive.
In the role you will meet all sorts of people from all different backgrounds, being able to communicate properly is a given.
Pride: You will be proud to work for Game Heads, and so you should. Driving one of our cool vans stuffed full of the latest gaming tech and providing the best party that child will ever have is something to be proud of! It’s a great fun and rewarding job where you are out on the road not stuck in some boring office! You will be happy to wear our uniform and take care in your personal appearance.
Console Knowledge :Have an understanding and an interest in Video gaming and gaming tech, how to join players together, set up team games, etc full training would be given but a working knowledge of XBOX / Nintendo systems will be required as you wont be able to "wing it" in this part either !

Service Skills
Holding a proven background in customer care / services and or childcare. Being able to demonstrate quick thinking and delivery focused with a meticulous attention to detail. Having excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, and identify key priorities and hold the ability to work under pressure against tight timelines
What you will be doing on a average day:
Collect one of our vans from our base in Bisley Surrey (you may leave your own car on site).
Drive to the client’s home to arrive approx. 30 mins before the events is to start.
Set up the van by plugging in the power and internet , set up the various devices.

Start the event on time! These normally last for 1.5 or 2 hours, you will be based next to and inside the van to assist with the kids questions and to help them as needed. You will interact with them and their parents as needed. You are present throughout the session.
Finish on time, clean down the interior of the van, clean down the devices.
Go to next event or return to base for finish.
What we offer you in return:
You are paid from collecting the van to dropping off the van.
Pay is £15.50 per hour
This is a zero hour contract
Flexible with hours (maybe you need to swap a weekend around with another driver not a problem)
A Uniform to wear.
Free secure parking on site
Paid breaks (where you work more then 6 hours )
Full training is given, you will be learning how to do everything that is needed from driving a 7.5 meter long van to plugging in the equipment , linking games together, customer service techniques or cleaning regimes ! We will train you how to do it all until you feel confident to go it alone!
